CIO executive AI briefing
Free · 60 Minutes · Senior Advisor Only · No Vendor Agenda

The AI briefing your board is asking for, from advisors who have actually built it

Every CIO faces the same pressure: board expects AI progress, vendors are promising transformational outcomes, and the gap between expectation and production reality is growing. This 60-minute briefing gives you the independent perspective to make defensible AI investment decisions, set realistic board expectations, and identify the two or three interventions that will actually move your programme forward.

What We Cover

A briefing prepared for your specific situation, not a generic AI overview

We review your industry, current AI programme stage, and your specific question before the briefing. Every session is different. These are the most requested topics.

01
Your Board Is Asking About AI ROI. Here Is What You Tell Them.
The ROI framework we use across 200+ enterprise clients. How to set realistic expectations for AI investment timelines, which use cases generate measurable ROI within 12 months and which require 2 to 3-year horizons, and how to present AI value to a board that has been burned by vendor promises. Includes real benchmark data from your industry sector.
02
Why Your AI Pilots Are Not Reaching Production
The specific failure modes that explain why 73% of enterprise AI programmes fail to move past pilot stage. Data quality gaps, governance friction, MLOps immaturity, organizational change management failures. We diagnose which combination is stalling your programme and tell you the specific intervention sequence that changes the outcome.
03
AI Vendor Landscape: What the Big Platforms Are Not Telling You
An independent view of the major AI platform vendors (Azure AI, AWS, Google Cloud AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Databricks, and others) and the trade-offs they do not highlight in their own briefings. Total cost of ownership, vendor lock-in risk, capability gaps by use case type, and the contract terms that create downstream problems. No vendor pays us. We have no incentive to recommend anyone.
04
Building or Redesigning Your AI CoE: What Works at Your Scale
The operating model decision that determines whether your AI CoE becomes a production accelerator or an expensive innovation sandbox. We cover the three CoE models (centralized, hub-and-spoke, platform), the transition points between them, and the specific design choices that determine time-to-production for AI use cases. Calibrated to your organization size and current maturity.
05
EU AI Act and AI Governance: What You Need to Do in the Next 90 Days
Specific, actionable guidance on EU AI Act compliance readiness, not a regulatory overview you could read anywhere. Which of your AI systems are likely to be classified as high-risk, what the documentation and conformity assessment requirements actually entail, and the governance gaps that most enterprises need to close before August 2026. Independent of any legal advisory firm.
06
GenAI in Your Enterprise: Separating Signal from Hype
An honest assessment of where GenAI creates measurable enterprise value and where it is still generating expensive pilots with no production path. Includes real benchmark data on GenAI ROI by use case type and industry sector, the technical requirements most organizations underestimate, and the governance decisions that determine whether GenAI deployments are defensible or not.
What You Get

60 minutes that changes how you make AI investment decisions

Pre-Briefing Research
Before your briefing, we research your organization's AI programme, publicly known initiatives, industry context, and regulatory environment. We arrive prepared with specific observations, not generic slides.
60-Minute Senior Advisor Session
One-to-one with a senior advisor who has 15+ years of enterprise AI experience in your industry. Not a junior consultant reading slides. A practitioner who will give you a direct, independent perspective on your situation.
Written Briefing Summary
A written summary of the key points covered and specific recommendations discussed. Delivered within 24 hours of the session. Usable as input into your own planning process or board materials.
Direct, Unfiltered Perspective
We will tell you what we actually think, not what you want to hear. If your AI programme has a structural problem that requires a difficult organizational decision, we will say that clearly. Senior AI leaders consistently tell us this is what they value most about the briefing.
Zero Vendor Bias
We have no partnerships with any AI platform vendor. No referral fees. No joint marketing. This means our perspective on your vendor choices, platform decisions, and technology investments is genuinely independent. We earn nothing from any recommendation we make.
No Obligation
The briefing is free and carries no obligation to engage further. If our perspective is useful and you want to explore advisory work, that conversation happens at your pace and on your terms. If the briefing is all you need, that is entirely fine.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would you give away a 60-minute senior advisor session for free?
Because a well-prepared 60-minute briefing with the right executive is the most effective way we know to demonstrate the value of independent AI advisory. We are not selling a software product with a free trial. We are demonstrating how we think and how we advise, in real time. Most advisory relationships that come from these briefings start because the executive found the session genuinely useful, not because we made a sales presentation. The briefing does the selling more effectively than any brochure could.
How do you prepare for each briefing?
Before every briefing we research the organization's publicly available AI initiatives, industry regulatory context, and relevant market dynamics. We review the specific question you submitted in the registration form. The senior advisor who will lead your briefing selects the most relevant content from our client experience base and prepares 3 to 5 specific observations about your situation. Every briefing opens with those specific observations, not a generic AI presentation.
Can I bring other members of my team?
Yes. The briefing format works well with 2 to 4 participants. If you want to include your Head of AI, CDO, Chief Risk Officer, or another relevant senior leader, please mention this in the registration form so we can prepare appropriately. We do not recommend more than 5 participants, as the format works best as a genuine conversation rather than a presentation.
How is this different from a vendor AI briefing?
Vendor AI briefings are prepared to sell a product. Our briefings are prepared to give you an independent perspective that helps you make better decisions, regardless of what those decisions mean for our business. We have no financial relationship with any AI platform vendor. We will critique the platform you are currently using if we think it is not right for your use cases. We will tell you if your current approach is sound and does not need a major change. That is not something a vendor briefing will ever tell you.
Will you follow up with a sales pitch after the briefing?
No. We will send the written briefing summary within 24 hours and ask whether the session was useful. If you want to continue the conversation about specific advisory work, that is something you initiate. We do not follow up with proposals or sales materials unless you explicitly ask for them. This is a deliberate policy, not a marketing statement.
What if I want to commission a formal advisory engagement after the briefing?
We are ready to discuss that at your timeline. After the briefing, if there are areas where deeper advisory support would accelerate your programme, we will suggest specific engagement types and scopes when you ask. Engagement proposals are typically delivered within 5 business days of a request. The briefing does not create any obligation or expectation of future work, and that is genuine rather than a formality.
